Andrea Cate gets excited when our youngest ones hear, see, smell, taste, and are
touched by the joys of Shabbat and living Jewishly. By helping families experience
and develop warm experiences surrounding Judaism, it is her hope they will
continue to search for opportunities to explore Judaism, continue the practice of
celebrating Shabbat, and help keep Judaism alive. Andrea comes to Rhythm ‘n’
Ruach with a wealth of experience developing worship and holiday experiences for
young ones and leading worship for all ages at her synagogue in Springfield,
Virginia. She attended Songleader Bootcamp 2018, a national conference for Jewish
songleaders, and was certifed as a Rhythm ‘n’ Ruach instructor in 2018. Andrea
lives with her husband, David, and the youngest of their three children, Daniel (age
13), who, almost 10 years ago, inspired her to build the Tot Shabbat service that
she herself wished to attend with her little one.
Amy lives in Springfield Virginia, with her husband, two children and two cats. She is an experienced educator with a passion on building community for families. As the J.Family Program Manager at the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, Amy is welcoming new families into the Northern Virginia Jewish community through creative and engaging programming. Rhythm N' Ruach is the next step to creating a solid Jewish base for launching our children out into the world, and I look forward to meeting your families!
